Variant Rules
    These are rules for playing that override the Core Rules.

Star ocean has the use of MP or mana points, over spells per day. in star ocean till the end of time there is a term called MP kill in which MP functions like HP so when you run out of MP you will get knocked out. using any battle skill, symbology(magic) requires MP if your cost is over what you have you cannot use it. Some enemies can do MP damage so you do not MP kill yourself.
